Postgraduate students (PhD/MSc/BSc(Hons)) who have published or will publish an article in 2019 can compete for the various prizes on offer. There will be two categories in which publications will be judged, namely (a) original research; and (b) review articles.
You must be registered as a postgraduate student at the University of Cape Town on the date of submitting your entry.
You must be the first author of the publication.
Your publication must either have been published or be “accepted for publication” in an ISI-accredited journal on the date of submission. Manuscripts “in review” will not be eligible.
Papers/manuscripts must be dated “2019”.
Manuscripts must include the Institute of Infectious Disease and Molecular Medicine as institutional affiliation.
Your submission must be accompanied by a statement from your supervisor or senior author describing your contribution to the publication (maximum 200 words).
There is no limit to the number of publications you submit. However, no more than one prize will be awarded per applicant.
Submissions will be judged by an independent scientific panel. The judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
